Built once. Looked after, always.

I design and build your website for one upfront fee starting at £299, then look after it for one monthly fee starting at £65 — hosting, updates, security and small changes included. No retainers, no bundled hours you never use, no surprise invoices.

One person, start to finish. You always know who you’re emailing.

How it works

Four steps, and you know the price before step two.

There’s no discovery phase, no proposal deck, and nobody handing your project to a junior once the paperwork is signed.

  1. Tell me what you need

Email me a few lines about your business and what the site has to do. I’ll come back with questions, then a fixed price — not a range, and not an hourly estimate that drifts.

  2. I design and build it

I do the whole thing myself: layout, design, the build. You see it on a preview link as it comes together and tell me what to change.

  3. It goes live on your domain

I point your domain at the site, set up the certificate, check it on real phones, and hand everything over. Your domain and your content stay in your name throughout.

  4. I keep it running

From launch onwards the monthly fee covers hosting, updates, backups and monitoring. When something needs changing, you email me and I change it.

What’s included

Two fees. Here’s exactly what each one buys.

The build

One upfront fee · From £299

  • A site designed around your business, not a template with your logo dropped in
  • Every page laid out and built with you — typically 4 pages: home, about, FAQ/products, and contact
  • Fast to load, and properly usable on phones, tablets and desktops
  • Contact and enquiry forms wired up and tested
  • The SEO basics: page titles, descriptions, a sitemap and a sensible heading structure
  • Launched on your own domain with SSL, then checked over again after it goes live

The monthly care

Monthly fee · From £65/month

  • Hosting on fast, modern infrastructure — no separate hosting bill to manage
  • Security patches and dependency updates applied as they land
  • Uptime monitoring, so I usually know before you do
  • Automatic backups, so a bad change can be rolled back
  • Small content edits: up to 30 minutes per month of text changes, new photos, updated prices or opening hours
  • A person who answers your email — me

Where the line sits: changing words, swapping an image, or updating your prices is a small edit and it’s included. A brand new page, a booking system, or a redesign is extra work — and I’ll quote it before I start, never after.

Pricing

Two starting prices, and a real number once we’ve talked.

What you see below is the starting point — a simple site costs less than a complex one. Once I understand what you need, I confirm a fixed build fee and a fixed monthly fee before any work begins, and neither moves unless you ask for something new.

To build it

To keep it running

Questions

The four I get asked most

There are more answers on the pricing page.

Why a monthly fee instead of just paying once?
Because a website isn’t a thing you finish, it’s a thing you run. It needs hosting, a certificate, security updates, and someone to notice when it breaks. The monthly fee covers all of that in one predictable line rather than three separate bills and a scramble when something goes wrong.
Do I own my website and my domain?
Yes, both. The domain is registered in your name and stays yours. The site I build is yours once the build fee is paid. If you ever want to move it elsewhere, I’ll hand over the code and help your next developer get set up.
How long does a build take?
Usually 3 days to a week from the point I have your content and a clear brief. What slows builds down is almost always waiting on words and photos, so I’ll tell you exactly what I need from you up front.
What if I want to leave later?
The monthly plan runs for a minimum of 12 months, then continues on a rolling basis with 3 months’ notice to cancel. When you go, I’ll export your site, hand over the code and content, and help you point your domain wherever it’s going. No exit fee, and no holding your site hostage.
